Calls to kill JK Rowling go unpunished... Schwab quits but worse to come?... abhorrent choking lesson in schools
The Digital Digest: News Uncut's take on stories from around the web

PROTESTS including placards calling for the death of JK Rowling in the wake of the Supreme Court ruling on what a woman is have been met with silence from the UK Government – and yet more accusations of a “two-tier police and justice system”.
Following the Southport terror attack protests, many people were jailed for social media posts. One in particular, Lucy Connolly, was sentenced to two years, seven months behind bars for a post on X [formerly Twitter] which she later deleted. It included this line about migrants: “Set fire to all fucking hotels full of the bastards for all I care.”
Protests on Saturday, April 19 following the Supreme Court ruling that a women is a biological female, trans activists carried placards which read: “Kill JK Rowling,” and “Bring back witch burning…JK”.
This is in reference to the Harry Potter author, who has been a huge supporter of women’s rights and the fight against trans women in female sports and indeed against allowing trans women in female toilets and changing rooms.
But there were no arrests and no public comments from the UK Government. It lead many people to claim this was yet more evidence of the country’s “two-tier police and justice system”.
Referring to the placards, Dr Renee Hoenderkamp wrote on social media: “Isn’t this hate speech, Keir Starmer? I’m confused.”
Political commentator James Melville, also a campaigner for No Farmers, No Food, said: “When is Keir Starmer going to condemn this type of behaviour? He’s previously condemned other protests as ‘hate speech’.”
The X account of the YouTube channel, Herd Immunity News, also posted some historical context of the “two-tier police and justice system” claims. They wrote: “The Tale Of Two Countries: Former Labour MP Mike Amesbury – open thuggery, beating the shit out of a defenceless man on the ground, all caught on camera – no jail time.
“Southport killings protestor Peter Lynch shouts abuse at police, holds up a sign, with no clear physical assault – 31 months in prison ‘fast-tracked’, dies in jail.
“There are no excuses for Starmer, [Yvette] Cooper and [Shabana] Mahmood for this utter disregard for the law and total dereliction of duty to deliver consistency. Vile.”
Starmer finally made public his comment on the Supreme Court ruling on Tuesday, April 22. Previously he had said that “99.9% of women do not have a penis”. But the UK Prime Minister now says the judgement provided “clarity” that “a woman is an adult female”.
Klaus Schwab resigns from World Economic Forum
KLAUS SCHWAB has resigned from his position as chairman of the World Economic Forum with immediate effect.
The announcement came on Easter Monday, with former CEO of Nestle, Peter Brabeck-Letmathe (below), who was also vice-chairman of the WEF, taking interim charge until a new chairman is selected.
Schwab founded the WEF in 1971 and has since morphed into a caricature of a Bond villain, helped in no small part by his insistence that every person on the planet should have been given the Covid jab and his view that the world would never go back to how it was pre-Covid.
He was also the champion of a global move into Stakeholder Capitalism – a new undemocratic political system which plans to shift power to a few key stakeholders, leaving most of the general public as second-tier citizens.
Interestingly, Nestle have decided to run an article on their website defending their former chairman, Brabeck-Letmathe, against claims that he allegedly said water is not a human right but a commodity. Some critics say that he has long pushed for strict control over personal water usage , even arguing that pools and car washes should not be a matter of personal choice.
Nestle wrote: “Yes. Our former chairman Peter Brabeck-Letmathe passionately believes that water is a human right. Everyone, everywhere in the world, has the right to clean, safe water for drinking and sanitation.”
Many people still believe the WEF influence is simply another “conspiracy theory”. But Schwab boasted about how the committee had infiltrated world governments and the website lists a plethora of ‘young global leaders’ as partners of the WEF. Indeed, the annual meeting in the plush ski resort of Davos brings together politicians and the rich and powerful , facilitating behind-closed-doors conversations on how the rest of us should live our lives. Ask yourself how that is democratic.
Fury at choking girlfriends “safely” advice
SOME secondary school pupils are being taught to ask for consent before choking a partner during sex – with critics saying this is not education but simply “advocating the porn industry”.
The material was shown to pupils during PSHE lessons and was funded by Bridgend County Borough Council in south Wales, reports Mail Online.
Shown in PowerPoint form, the literature taught children that “consent [when it comes to choking during sex] should happen every time sexual choking is an option”.
Michael Conroy, the founder of Men at Work, hit back at the “lesson”, saying: “'This is not sex education, this is just advocacy for the porn industry.
“Imagine you are a 14-year-old girl and you have told your boyfriend you don’t want to be choked – but then an authority figure comes into school and tells you it is OK.
“Choking cuts off oxygen to the brain and is incredibly harmful, it can even kill. Most schools will take it on trust that something endorsed by the local authority is OK. There is a rampant myth that choking can be done safely and is simply another option for a sexual act.”
News Uncut thinks it beyond strange that this kind of material is allowed in schools at the same time as Keir Starmer’s call for Adolescence – a fictional drama about misogyny – to be shown as well.
Political commentator Bernie Spofforth said: “SCHOOLS – There are no reasons to ever teach 14 year old boys how to choke women during sex. There is NOTHING safe about this! What on earth are they thinking?”
I was in high school in Connecticut in the early 70's when there was a "smoking section" in the middle of the student center. At the time there was overwhelming evidence, not just ample evidence that smoking was directly linked to cancer and heart disease. Yet, there was a public school where smoking by students had the tacit approval of the school board et al. In the late 19th century there were states in the U.S. where the age of consent was 7 yes, seven! School segregation was the law in many states until the equal rights amendment was passed. It took 100 attempts for congress to finally pass legislation making lynching a federal offense in 2022!! Between 5&6% of inmates on death row are wrongly convicted yet, YET capital punishment is the law in many states.
As far as how boys treat girls in the bedroom well, I wouldn't look to any part of the government for GUIDANCE. When it comes to moral, humane, healthy decisions our shared culture is all there is even it is often late to the party ( no pun intended).
