CHINK IN THE ARMOUR - BUT MSM STILL GETTING FACTS WRONG OVER JABS
Small steps but usual bias remains
By Mark Sharman
IN what at first glance seems to be a glimmer of recognition in mainstream media, Mail Online today published an article under this headline:
NHS should treat vaccine 'injuries' same way it does long Covid by introducing clinics to help affected patients, MP claims
Let’s be positive and congratulate Mail Online for at least reporting on yesterday’s inaugural All-Party Parliamentary Group [APPG] for the victims of vaccine damage, including Dr Aseem Malhotra’s call for the Pfizer vaccine to be suspended pending independent scrutiny.
However, the article by Health Reporter Emily Craig is grudging and carries the usual bias. Look again at the headline and its journalistic tricks. Presenting the word ‘injuries’ in quotation marks suggests doubt that they are real – and the same applies to MP claims.
Craig reports fairly on Vikki Spit (below) and the fact that her partner’s death certificate cited complications after the AstraZeneca jab. But she quickly counters it with the tried and tested narrative:
“Real-world evidence has repeatedly proven they are safe and save lives.”
Really? Ever-increasing world data and scientific reports, including those based on Pfizer’s own trials, suggest otherwise. On both counts.
“Yet, like with every medicine, there are risks. Scientists insist, when it comes to the Covid vaccines, however, that they are tiny.”
Which scientists? Those backed by pharmaceutical companies?
“Hundreds of recipients have reported suffering severe complications, including blood clots, heart inflammation and Guillain-Barre Syndrome. Some Britons have even died from blood clots, an extremely rare side effect of AstraZeneca's jab that saw it eventually restricted for the over-40s.”
Hundreds? Try hundreds of thousands, or even millions. As for ‘extremely rare’ it’s become a slogan on a par with ‘safe and effective’ I suggest Ms Craig does a proper analysis of world reporting data, such as VAERS in the USA, the yellow card system in this country and EUDRAVigilance in Europe.
“The vaccines… have been credited with saving more than 100,000 lives across the UK.”
Credited by whom? There is little or no evidence, again including the Pfizer trial data, that any lives were saved. In any case, how does anyone know who might have died if not for a jab? As Dr Malhotra (below) put it so well, it is science fiction rather than science fact.
“It is unclear how many people are living with harm from the vaccine but campaign group Vaccine Injured Bereaved [VIBUK] say it is a 'small number'.”
News Uncut checked this with VIBUK. They assure us that nobody mentioned ‘a small number’ as they are well aware of the growing statistics around the world.
“More than 136million Covid vaccines have been dished out in the UK since the pandemic began.”
This is designed to make deaths and injuries look insignificant against the grand total. But look at it another way – the more jabs are ‘dished out,’ the greater number of deaths and injuries will occur. We are way past the point when previous vaccinations have been withdrawn as unsafe.
But let’s return to the positive. At least Mail Online is recognising, albeit reluctantly, that there may be another side to the story. And Emily Craig reports accurately on Parliamentary Group chair Sir Christopher Chope’s calls to speed up the £120,000 compensation claims, remove the 60 per cent disability requirement and set-up clinics for the vaccine-injured.
And she quotes Sir Christopher: “One of the purposes of this APPG is to try and get the Government to change its mind and in a sense realise the reality that sadly Covid vaccines can cause damage. Fortunately, this is only a relatively small minority of people. But these are not the absolutely safe and effective vaccines that they were launched to be.”
It is definitely a sliver of recognition, an acknowledgement that something is wrong. Very wrong.
The APPG meeting itself was emotional and, for the vaccine-injured, part encouraging and part frustrating.
Charlet Crichton, founder of help-group UKCVFamily.org told News Uncut: “While we are grateful for Sir Christopher Chope taking time and effort to highlight Vaccine Injury, I was disappointed by the lack of time given to the injured and bereaved to talk.
“A lot of us are still ill. I came straight from a hospital procedure and it is a long expensive journey for some. We have all unfortunately become experts by experience in this field and both UKCVFamily and VIB have a wealth of knowledge to pass on with regards to reform and change that needs to happen.
“However, this is the first step in one of many hopefully to come, whereby the voices of the vaccine injured and bereaved finally become heard.”
Vaccine injuries will next be debated in the House of Commons on Monday (October 24th).
Footnote: Sir Christopher was joined at the All-Party Group by fellow Conservative MPs, Sir Desmond Swayne, Sir Jeremy Wright, Andrew Bridgen and Danny Kruger. Sir Christopher says that is a usual number for a first meeting. But why did not one single MP from any opposition party attend? After all, they did not have the distraction of their leader resigning just around the corner.
The APPG meeting was a complete farce and very difficult to listen to. I take particular issue with the patronising tone of the MPs when the ‘little people’ (as one person depressingly said) spoke up. After they’d been ‘put in their place’ and assured that “we are all on the same side” it was sickening to hear them grovel to the MPs and thank them for what they are doing! This forelock tugging and deference needs to stop. Let us never forget that it is the unwillingness or inability of the majority of MPs to question ANYTHING that got us into this mess in the first place. They are supposed to work for US! None of us owe them anything.
