Why democracy is under threat

THE EU has found itself in a room talking – and nobody cares. And worse is happening across the pond in Canada.

This is according to Cameron Parry, CEO and founder of TallyMoney, who believes real democracy continues to be under threat.

Discussing the new Prime Minister of Canada, Mark Carney, who has been speaking about the need to push for Net Zero and generally criticising US President Donald Trump, Parry said: “It so tiring these politicians wanting to stand up to Trump – all Trump is doing is getting on with stuff.

“They [Canada] have shoehorned in their World Economic Forum man [Carney] and are hoping Canadians will swallow it.”

As for the EU, Parry discusses the annulling of the election result in Romania because “they didn’t get who they wanted”.

He added: “They are identifying as important and don’t know why reality doesn’t identify them as important.

“The EU, the UK, France and Germany, they find themselves almost in a room, talking to themselves, amongst themselves and nobody cares.”
