GOVERNMENT: "FIVE MILLION UNVACCINATED" REALITY: 19.5 MILLION
Where do they get these figures from?
By Gary Nuttall
GOVERNMENT ministers and mainstream media have been throwing around some barely believable figures yet again.
For example, where did they get the figure of only four million that have not been boosted, or five million that are completely unvaccinated? And are they right?
The answer will shock you.
HOW many are actually completely unvaccinated in the UK?
Using the graph below from the UK Health Security Agency’s [UK HSA] weekly national Influenza and Covid-19 surveillance, it is clear that that figure touted of five million is way off-beam.
Week 3 report, week ending January 20, 2022:
A quick bit of maths (62,862,258 – 43,321,942) shows that, of the total population of England, 19.5m are completely unvaccinated. Even allowing for the 8.4m under 12s, that still means that 11.1m people eligible to be injected have not been. Not the “five million” put about by Government and some of the tabloid press.
What about booster uptake?
A BOOSTER is simply yet another injection. There is talk of third and fourth injections being stronger than the first two, but otherwise they are simply an addition to the first duet of jabs that Brits were told originally would give them full immunity to Covid 19.
The graph above shows that, of the 43.3m people in England who had the first two injections, 13m of them have not been boosted (that is they haven’t had the third injection).
Government spokespeople said last week that there were just four million people still to receive their booster jab.
There many reasons for people not having had the third injection, including the fact that they may have had their first or second injections within the last three months and so are not yet eligible.
But…
Thirteen million people is still a much bigger number than that seen in the headlines that “four million remaining to be boosted”.
What is the population of the UK?
THE more you dig into the official statistics the more self-contradictory they get.
According to the Government’s Covid dashboard of the total UK population of about 67.1m people, 52.2m have had at least one dose.
That means that across UK, 14.9m people are completely unvaccinated, which does not make sense because, according to the graph above, in England alone there are 19.5m in total [including under 12s].
This is the point at which we begin to realise that the various UK Government agencies do not know how many people there are in the UK, or even in England.
According to the Office for National Statistics’ population estimates for the UK, England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland from mid-2020, there are not 62.2m people in England, as suggested by UK HSA, but 56.55m.
Isn’t it time that Government spokespeople and their promoters in the mainstream media learnt how to count?
