Johnson silence makes him a Trudeau supporter
And guess what... Canada says it "strongly advocates for freedom of expression, free from intimidation"
By Oliver May
CHINA and Iran have publicly condemned the tyrannical actions of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said nothing.
Trudeau has invoked the Emergencies Act and is using unprecedented powers against the Freedom Convoy, a group of more than 50,000 truckers protesting peacefully against mandatory vaccine passports. Boris Johnson has said nothing.
Trudeau will freeze their bank accounts. He will kill the pets of protestors should any of them be arrested and spend time behind bars. And he has threatened to arrest journalists for doing their job of reporting the situation. Boris Johnson has said nothing.
Canada has even called out the harsh treatment by Cuba on protestors in the country, saying: “Canada strongly advocates for freedom of expression and the right to peaceful assembly free from intimidation.”
Let’s just read that again: Canada advocates peaceful assembly free from intimidation.
Except, it seems, when it comes to their own citizens, where intimidation tactics know no bounds.
Boris Johnson has ignored the many videos of police beating fellow humans to the ground. Boris Johnson has ignored the fact protestors bank accounts will be frozen. Boris Johnson, therefore, is complicit.
A report from Associated Press reads: “Police began arresting people and towing away vehicles in Ottawa on Friday in an attempt to stop the three-weeks-long protest by hundreds of truckers who disagree with the country’s Covid-19 restrictions.
“Earlier in the week, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau enacted the Emergencies Act for the first time in Canadian history, giving law enforcement the “authority to declare the blockades illegal, tow away trucks, arrest the drivers, suspend their licenses and freeze their bank accounts”.
Remember – “Canada strongly advocates for freedom of expression and the right to peaceful assembly free from intimidation.”
Organisers including Tamara Lich, Chris Barber and Pat King have been arrested. “Canada strongly advocates for freedom of expression and the right to peaceful assembly free from intimidation.”
Ottawa police say they have made at least 21 arrests, as of Friday afternoon and towed 21 vehicles. “Canada strongly advocates for freedom of expression and the right to peaceful assembly free from intimidation.”
Interim Ottawa Police Chief Steve Bell says powers granted under the Emergencies Act, plus Ontario and Ottawa states of emergency and existing law were all used today. “Without these authorities, we wouldn't have been able to do the work we are doing today,” he said.
“Canada strongly advocates for freedom of expression and the right to peaceful assembly free from intimidation.”
Why on earth has Britain – supposedly a democratic, freedom-loving society – stood by and watched this happen without a single word?
Boris Johnson’s silence over this horrid affair makes him as complicit as Trudeau himself.
Boris Johnson’s silence makes him a clear supporter of the actions of Justin Trudeau.
And that should send shivers down your spine because this can now happen here in Britain. A glance at the soon-to-be-reformed Online Harms bill, stripping all and sundry of their human rights, will see to that.
