ELON MUSK has been told to have “an urgent audit” of his Community Notes system on X after it was claimed one account is a Bot censoring thousands of posts.
According to X, formerly Twitter, Community Notes “aim to create a better informed world by empowering people on X to collaboratively add context to potentially misleading posts”.
But one contributor to this system has identified an account, called Enterprising Desert Raven, that appears to be automated, as it is targeting posts that refer to Covid jabs, Big Pharma, government regimes, Climate Change and the World Economic Forum in high volumes.
Chris Littlewood, a Community Notes user, said: “They are using it to censor.
“I’m a community notes contributor and what I’m seeing is a direct attempt to silence, censor, de-prioritise, de-monetise, isolate and cast doubt against anyone that questions the current plans of governments, Big Pharma and the ruling classes.
“Enterprising Desert Raven is the user name for a single Community Notes contributor and, since joining Community Notes in March 2023, it has posted nearly 5000 notes.
“In my opinion, it’s impossible to be a single person. It is posting more than 70 Community Notes per day, every day. Without rest. These notes have to be backed up with linked supporting evidence. It is just not possible to achieve this on a daily basis
“This is a relentless attack on anyone that dares to questions the things that have happened to us, or the plans they have in place for humanity."
“Desert Raven protects the jabs, Big Pharma, current government regimes, Climate Change and the WEF. Anyone that questions what’s going on, that has a large follower base, appears to be targeted, especially blue ticks [verified accounts].
“The Community Notes that have been approved, all appear to be supported by the same group of contributors. This is really bad and extremely concerning. I will individually contact every single person that has had an attempt to de-popularise their posts in this video.”
Since highlighting the issue on X on Saturday, Littlewood says his post has been targeted by bots and the account in question even tried to censor his warning with a note which read: “Community Notes are not manipulated by one person.”
Littlewood added: “I believe unpublished Community Notes affect the scoring algorithms of the post and downgrade its reach. This is why big accounts think they are shadow banned.”
And Littlewood called on Musk, the owner of X, to take immediate action, saying: “Elon Musk, you urgently need to do a complete audit of Community Notes, especially targeting the most active contributors.
“They are either bots, or groups of bad actors working together to utilise a single account and push an agenda.
“IP and Mac Address access would easily identify this. I’m a community notes contributor and I am telling you that the system is compromised.”
Late on Sunday, X’s Safety account posted the following: “Today, a bug in our system caused X to incorrectly label numerous posts as Sensitive Media. We’ve fixed the underlying issue and are now working to remove labels from impacted posts.”
Any posts that Community Notes labels as ‘sensitive’ are automatically downgraded.
Evidence from Littlewood, however, appears to show accounts being downgraded over a far longer time period than one day, which could be why some accounts complain of being ‘shadow banned’.
Elon Musk has been contacted for comment.
