"The UK has lost its identity and takes no pride in itself"
Political strategist Joseph Robertson says 28 years of government failure has eroded our culture
Interview by Jasmine Birtles
THE UK has forgotten its identity and no longer takes pride in who it is.
That is the view of Joseph Robertson, a political strategist, co-director of Touchpoint Strategy and Reform candidate for Market Drayton South.
Robertson believes the problem is not just down to immigration but that somehow we have lost who we are as a country.
He says: “We’re not doing very well. We cannot cope with this sudden influx of different ideas. We have forgotten who we are and we don’t take pride in who we are any more. We are losing our way.
“We also have a misguided sense of what racism is in this country. Racism is not simply stating facts, it is hating somebody based on their skin colour and treating them differently on that basis.
“We have had 28 years of failure in Government to recognise that we are eroding our culture and that does need to be reversed.”
